CHECK LIST
The Laurels recommends that you ensure the following:
- All clothes have woven name labels sewn on them prior to moving into the Laurels. This enables the Laurels to quickly identify who's clothes they are following laundering. These can be ordered from 'Fun to Do'. Or by contacting the suppliers direct on 02476466466 (www.jjcash.co.uk). Other labels or ink quickly come off during washing.
- We ask that people have white face cloths for their face and blue clothes for other areas. This enable the social care supporters to have consistency when they assist people with their hygiene.
- If you are on any medication, you must ensure that you bring with you one weeks supply of medication. This enables the Laurels pharmacist to request a repeat prescription from your GP.
- Prior to your admission to the Laurels we ask you to contact your GP and notify them that you are moving into the Laurels. Most Carlisle GP's are happy to continue to visit you at the Laurels. But in the event that they are unable to continue to keep you as their patient then contact the Primary Health Care Trust at Rosehill, Carlisle who will advise you on which other GP's to contact or assign you to a GP.
- Bring with you any aids or accessories you require such as walking frames and wheelchairs.
- You will need to bring in some toiletries including soap.
